Our Story

Established in 2006, the LIGA DE FUTBOL FRANCESA (LFF) has more than 80 teams in at least 12 divisions and about 900 players, who, together, enjoy recreational soccer in our league located on  the city of Houston, Texas. The LFF practices soccer through the regulations and the interpretation of those regulations by the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) and the International Football Association Board (IFAB). FIFA is the institution that governs football federations worldwide and part of IFAB (the body responsible for changing the rules of the game).

My Game is Fair Play Fair Play is the name of the FIFA’s program that aims to promote fair play and respect for the sport and all those who are part of it.

LFF President

Born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Hector Patiño emigrated to the space city where he now is president and director of the Liga Francesa de Fútbol. Patiño founded the league in 2006 and since then LFF has become one of the most popular local recreational soccer leagues. Patiño studied Sports Organization in the School of Physical Education of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León. He has studied to be a Technical Director and National Football Referee at the National Training School of the Mexican Football Federation.
